call HART crazy .. but

I just found this on YouTube … and thought you might enjoy it!

Note: information from YouTube

I was in Istanbul in November 2007 invited by my life brother Orkun Sahin. he is studying to became a film director so he was always with the camera. Once I was playing for some Sufi musicians and someone was listening trough a mobile phone. He was Goksel Baktagir and he invited me to one of his concert. While enjoying the show he called me on stage as surprise and I joined his amazing musicians for a jam. I will never forget how I was scared and excited. Unfprtunately we did not have the camera that moment but here you can enjoy Goksel beauty while we were interviewed by Orkun in another occasion! Much love to Goksel and Orkun and I hope to see you again soon! www.davideswarup.com To buy or download the album “Music for Hang” www.cdbaby.com

what is the difference between that Kanun instrument and the Koto one?

i call these types of songs “music for the soul”. I feel the music just coming inside my body and revitalizing me.

@infectiousfiles beyond the fact that the Koto is from Japan and the Kanun is a Central Asian instrument I suspect that the main difference is in the number of strings and how it is tuned.

I love this both sounds,and i have bean born in Istanbul long time ago.Kanun, so wonderful together with hang,really good marriage.I am a percussionist too,for several instruments.Also i play Indian tambura,with 4 strings,and an udu drum,with he’s bass sound.Nice to me you,have a good inspirations,both of you.
