That’s your opinion. I’ll still take the original master any day. Stanley kicks Stafan to the gutter with his ability. Not knocking Stefan, he’s excellent.
Well, I think Pat Metheny put it best when he heard Stanley – sounds like two mediocre guitarists playing at once.
Pat who? Just kidding. To each his own. Though, I can’t rightfully recall Metheny performing anything quite like Jordan. Metheny was good, but I’ve heard dozens who totally outshone him. I’ll take his critism with a little sugar please. Kind of sounds a sour to to me.
No, it’s just that Stanley never killed me either. It seems that the two musicians have a very different approach to playing “duets” with themselves on the guitar (and don’t forget that any guitarist who can play Bach Inventions can fundamentally do this). Stefan plays like a pianist, and Stanlley like a guitarist. It’s maybe a purely physical thing. Stefan is like a pedal steel player, with an extra horn thrown in.
All I know is I love both of them for their talents. I wish Joubert gets the full recognition he deserves; which I don’t think Jordan did. I look forward to see how Stefan develops in his career.
Side note: That’s some mean harp playing you do. Enjoyed you’re videos and your channel.

Yup, I bought his cd African Dream, when I heard him play in Covent garden a few years back. A very talented musician.
