I doubt he’s wasted, I mean he could be, but he’s feeling the song hard. If you watch him play I Remember Clifford he looks like he’s about to cry at one point, again feeling the song.
that’s a sick solo by roy, but i’m not sure which i like more: herbie’s comping or roy’s solo
I like it when Hargrove goes up to the high note on the trumpet. Really good.
