the single best thing i’ve ever seen in my life so far
@xMACKx1 I LOVE MACK!!!! THIS IS JUSTIN!!!!!!
is this bass solo or guitar solo?
@BIGDADDYF50 read the video title dude
@StreetPizza54
but how come it sounds like just regular guitar strings. It doesn’t sound like a bass guitar at all mate !
@BIGDADDYF50 it probably has guitar distortion on it. but its defiantly a bass dude. listen to how low in key he goes. very few guitars can do that. and notice he slaps it? bass trait
@StreetPizza54
oh yes, i see now ! because I didn’t watch the full video, i got the impression from the beginning that it was mostly percussive clarity strings instead of full bass.
This video definitely has a weird sound quality. lol
hey just to let u know why it sounds like guitar is because he is playing harmonics, I would know because I do play bass but besides that he is f***ing amazing on the bass lol
those notes.. i dont know what they are called.. but those weird high notes are awesome! not ghost notes.. it is something else.. someone knows how they are called? and how to do?
@scrambles12 he already has a third leg…
@jbasscrew those are harmonics I think
victor wooten, neil peirt, bucket head in a band would be crazy
Bass (electric or not) is the only strumming instrument you can play only with your hands i think
@jbasscrew They’re called harmonics. Usually made by one of two methods: placing fretting hand finger lightly over the string at certain point (called “node”), then plucking the string while removing the finger. It’s easiest to make a node at the 12 fret, but they’re all over the neck. Those’re natural harmonics. One can also take string & create node with plucking hand & pluck string right under it: those’re pinch harmonics. Harmonics divide note: get different notes depending on where node is.
@jbasscrew Harmonics are also a good way to tune a basssimply by lightly putting ur index finger on the 5 fret of a string and your ring finger on the 7th fret of the next string and plucking and letting go of the string.
and i love thhis solo Vistor Wooten, is one of my Bass Idols !!
