This storm came through tonight 6/10/09 while we were looking for more funny stuff for FrigginRandom. Blew a ton of transformers which made for a good light show, and had some insane wind. A funnel cloud went right over us after lingering in the distance for a bit. Nothing touched down in Plano but a few people saw some tornadoes. this gave us a good excuse to test the new HD camera. Look for some original videos soon!

i was there in that storm i live in richardson if you see the water tower with an r thats richardson i drove through that with my dad. this was the scariest moment in my life ever!
i remember this tornado. i was on renner road plano. i live in richardson.
@diediemful Hahaha i live in the Prairie Creek area and it took of our balconey screen door, and it took out some windows from flying debris

what would happen if every one had emergency parachutes and flew around the tornado ? like would that save lives or would the tornado shred the parachute into pieces ?
tornadoes barely ever strike in plano but i hope they dont any time soon

@firefighterfuture1 There is a Dr.Pepper bottling plant in Plano. PepsiCo as well as Lay’s potato chips are also manufactured here. I’ve lived in Plano for the passed 20 years, went to school here etc.. its a hell of a town.. we’re famous for potato chips and bad weather..lol

OMG!!!!!! I remember Pete Delcus showing the dust cloud. We had just finished clearing the backyard, and like 3 seconds later, this fast wind started coming at our house!!!! we couldn’t open the door!!!!!
I know storms can cause a lot of damage and sadly deaths… But you can’t help to be amazed when a HUGE storm is building up right by you.
