Look at “Death and the healing” from Wintersun or Shy from sonata arctica… or black diamond from stratovarius, lai lai hei from Ensiferum, they all are better than slash

@teuffelowo it’s not because he doesn’t use tapping, shredding, sweeping, and special guitar effects doesn’t mean that they’re all better than him,, I like slash because of his perfect melodies and rhythm, I’ve been listening to different bands, different solos from different artists but nothing’s like Slash’s, well maybe it’s just a matter of preference,, anyway good day sir,,

Listen at Sonata Arctica or Stratovarius. Their guitarrist do shred, but anyway their music is still complex and prepared. With pianos and some mix of Classical music. Serious business.
Anyway, talking about MONEY; yngwie do shred too. Is he poor? is he inglorious? Abd he is better than slash. Just think about it. Newbie.
@teuffelowo Music certainly is all about money and if you don’t realized that then you’re too stupid to convince otherwise. Most shredders don’t give a shit about melody, they just play stupid random notes as fast as they can. Most people who make a living as musicians might shred on stage but that’s not the ONLY THING that they do. Usually they do traditional songs that have lyrics, bass, drum parts.
i think slash is on of the bst guitar players in the world it doesnt matter if e plays fast he gots ton of technique and just great solos

Guitar players should always be measured by their musics ability to move you emotionally. Speed has nothing to do with that. Even the greats like Satriani and Vai’s greatest creations are slower soul touching master pieces which envoke human emotions. Slash is not that fast, but he plays with heart and soul which makes him great.
