Nah dude, even if you will never use them, the modes are very usefull because they build the full fretboard patterns for the major and minor scales, allowing you to solo all arround the neck, instead of in just one position.

stratocasters are hard to play, its harder to find the pitch harmonics and more difficult to get a clear sound when doing hammer-on’s / pull-offs. There really nice when you actually get used to playing them its a lil knacky but still not my forte
