call HART crazy .. but
Geez .. I hate the way “THEM” / “THEY” play with our minds at the gas pumps. Two weeks ago, the price of a litre of gas was $1.189 CDN. It was higher four weeks ago just before the Long Weekend of August. Now, the price has been slowly declining to $1.049 CDN per litre. That’s before the ‘standard’ $0.035 discount everybody gets if they have a gas club card.
* My gas tank still has a quarter of a tank of gas in it
* We will be travelling by car this upcoming Long Weekend (it’s our anniversary Thursday)
So I went shopping at Safeway late last night .. spent $50.00 CDN with my Club Card and got that $0.075 discount coupon .. to get an additional 3.5cent discount on my fill. So, if I were to fill the tank – it would cost me FINALLY under $1.00 CDN and be $0.974 per litre.
Here’s my question I will be debating today: Should I just go out and fill my tank of gas that is 1/4 filled … or, wait until Friday when I’ll be right down to “EMPTY” .. and hope that the price goes lower?
Normally – a FULL tank of gas has been costing me between $55-$65 CDN this past summer. That’s waaaay too much. I thought the government already HAS a ready supply of gas and oil reserves now!? Summer’s over soon and I hope it goes back down to normal.
