Is it Summer yet? Spring? What are you wearing? The temperature is ranging between 15c and 5c here, and I wear my spring jacket .. so I can carry ..

* my car keys, house keys, pocket calculator attached in my right outside pocket
* my cell phone in my left outside pocket
* all my change for Tim Horton and other impulse shopping splurges in various pockets just in case
* pad of paper and a pen to jot down things in my inside pocket of my jacket

My older brother decided to prepare and cook everything for Mother’s Day Dinner. My wife and I brought the fancy desert. My younger brother participates in eating, like he normally does.

I was quite impressed with the dinner menu .. made entirely from scratch with ingredients purchased from Superstore! Last night, I found a recipe for tempura batter on the internet, because they don’t have internet access at the moment. I believe he prepared some of the background stuff last night in anticipation of the Sunday Dinner.

I thought I would write a nice long post about BACKUPS, backup procedures, how I backup my data, how I backup my blogs, etceter etcetera etcetera ….

Normally when I write long posts like that, I like to press the “Save and Continue Editing” button. If you click “Save”, you have to open the draft blog post entry up again and continue. Of course, if you click “Publish” and you are still writing a blog post entry, you look like an idiot for posting an incomplete post. So, if you click “Save and Continue Editing” .. all is well because your post will be saved, and you can continue where you left off.

It just made sense to do it online this year … at the official Census 2006 site ..

It’s not that hard to do .. you need that code that’s on the front page of the census form you got in the mail in the beginning of May 2006. Then, after inputting the code it takes a few minutes, you probably have to accept a digital signature or your Zone Alarm or Norton Security might kick, but I accepted the cookie ..

Wednesdays are shopping days, and my wife prefers to shop at Superstore. But, my tank of gas is getting to be about a quarter of a tank now, so I popped over to Safeway and purchased over $50.00 CDN of more groceries .. just to get an extra 3-1/2cent discount at the pump. Everybody gets 3-1/2cent discount with the Club Safeway Card (I just enter my phone number into the pump itself) .. but the coupon doubles it to a 7cent discount.

I bought needed cat litter, new toothbrush, sandwich meat, blueberry NYC bagels, batteries … crap like that! It doesn’t take much to reach $50 at the grocers today .. just like it was reaching that amount May 5th when I last filled my gas tank.

We were finally watching Sunday’s episode of the Soprano’s on VHS … and afterwards, the VCR was running .. there was the episode of Corner Gas that had Colin Mochrie on it .. “Isn’t he on every Television Show That Was Ever Made?”

Well .. I can’t recall what the actual saying was, as the tape run out in the middle of the episode .. perhaps if YOU recall what that saying was .. you can post it below in the comments ..

One thing is for sure - when they focus entirely on one project team who gloats about how victorious their win will be, watch for the interview from the person who gets the most air time = = >> that’s the person who will be fired.

I have two brothers, no sisters. My older brother is 6 years older than me, and was born on Mother’s Day. My younger brother is eleven months younger than me, and for 25 days every year .. we are the same age. The joke gets thin.

Usually, we celebrate my older brother’s dinner at the same time as Mother’s Day, as a Sunday Dinner Gathering. This year, it would seem, there are plans to stretch it into two sunday dinners .. tonight (for my brother) and next sunday (for Mother’s Day).
