I like celebrating birthdays and holidays because it is a GREAT EXCUSE for you to get together with your relatives and have a good time and catch up!
Keep in touch with your kinfolk! Get together with them and/or invite them over for dinner~~
As Mary Schmich from the Chicago Tribute wrote years ago, and immortalized by Baz Luhrmann in the song … “Everybody’s Free To Wear Sunscreen” (see Lyrics here) …
Get to know your parents, you never know when they’ll be gone for good. Be nice to your siblings; they are your best link to your past and the people most likely to stick with you in the future.
