call HART crazy … but

I really like the design of this blog. I’m quite proud of it. It is another modification of the free themes called “Postcards From The Edge“.

The changes I made to this template were as follows:

* First of all, I changed the background. I had this cool ‘bluefade.gif’ happening, but it ended up being a little of an eyesore after a while, so I went for this ’stone.gif’ background.
* Second of all, I changed the header image. I created a new one in my adobe photoshop 7.0. In case you are planning to use this theme, (download it from here), the size of the header was 772 px width x 158 px height. I made a transparent background and 3 layers of the same text wording, in “Tempus Sans ITC” font .. one in a brown, one in yellow and one in purple. Then, I lined them up as you see them and voila!
* FYI - the above two plus the background color of the right sidebar is easy to manipulate through the stylesheet.
* I ended up playing and expanding the main body size by 25 px and moved it a little to the left, to make a wider sidebar.
* I replicated the code from the original (where my URL is) and added a second line to overlaying my header picture (for my tagline) , and made it multi-color to look a little spaztic and ‘crazy’ looking ..
* I always change the sidebar to suit my test with regards to organization, order, added blog stuff - etc. .. but I thought it would be cute to rename every section with a variation of the ‘CRAZY’ theme ..
* I added a random exceprt plugin script .. On every post I plan to go into Amazon and select a random product that is on the ‘craaaazy’ side (either literally, or in its name) so it will pop up in the top of the right sidebar. Clicking on that link will take you to Amazon.com site, and register under my affiliate code .. which I could possibly make a very small commission ..
